CRV leads crypto gainers as DeFi tokens rally, SNX and KSM decline

Other notable performers include Worldcoin (WLD), up 5.04% to $1.329, NEAR Protocol (NEAR) with a 4.07% rise to $2.811, W at 3.76% to $0.108, and Lido DAO (LDO) increasing 3.20% to $1.117. These gains reflect renewed investor interest in decentralized finance (DeFi) and layer-1 blockchain projects amid a broader market upswing.
However, not all cryptocurrencies followed the upward trend. Synthetix (SNX) dropped 3.06% to $1.0433, while Kusama (KSM) fell 2.99% to $14.59. Zero (ZRO) declined 2.22% to $2.25, AEVO slipped 2.15% to $0.117, and SATS saw a 1.78% decrease to $0.0000000391. These losses highlight the volatility in smaller-cap tokens, potentially driven by profit-taking or sector-specific challenges.
The mixed performance comes as the global crypto market cap hovers at $3.81 trillion, down 1.59% over the past 24 hours. Analysts suggest CRV’s rally may be tied to recent protocol upgrades, while WLD’s gains align with increased adoption of its identity verification platform. Conversely, SNX and KSM’s declines could reflect market corrections following recent speculative activity.
