Deposit Bonus FAQ (EEA)
How does Deposit Bonus work?
What is Deposit Bonus?
Deposit Bonus is a promotional offer that calculates rewards at a configured rate based on the Eligible Deposits you hold and maintain during a specified offer period, subject to the applicable offer rules. Offer details, including but not limited to eligible participants, offer dates, eligible deposit methods, minimum thresholds, bonus rates, bonus caps, and payout times may vary by offer. Please refer to the offer landing page for the detailed terms and conditions applicable to the offer you joined.
Does an 8% Deposit Bonus mean an 8% annualized return?
No. The 8% usually refers to the one-time bonus rate for the relevant Deposit Bonus rewards session. It's not an annualized yield and isn't Earn interest. The final reward is generally calculated as Eligible Deposit × Bonus Rate and is subject to the terms and conditions such as the minimum threshold, bonus cap, fund maintenance requirements, and eligibility review of the specific rewards session.
Is Deposit Bonus available to all EEA users?
Not necessarily. An offer may only be available to selected regions, entities, user types, or customer segments. Sign in to your account and check the offer page for your eligibility.
How do I join and participate in Deposit Bonus?
How do I join Deposit Bonus?
Sign in to OKX, open the relevant Deposit Bonus rewards session from the offer landing page, read the terms and conditions, and select Opt in. Once your enrollment is confirmed, you'll see the offer landing page, detailing your current net deposit and your estimated bonus. Subject to the relevant offer terms and conditions, only users who successfully opt in may be eligible to receive bonus payouts after the offer ends.
If I can see the offer or task, does that mean I've successfully enrolled?
Not necessarily. You must explicitly select Opt in on the offer landing page. After a successful Opt-in, you'll also receive a confirmation email or notification.
Will assets I already held before the offer started be counted?
No. Assets held before the offer started won't be counted. Deposit Bonus rewards new and eligible fund inflows during the offer calculation window. A pre-existing balance doesn't constitute a new net deposit for the offer.
Can I participate in multiple Deposit Bonus rewards sessions at the same time?
This depends on the eligibility requirements of each rewards session. Even if you participate more than once, each session is calculated independently according to its own eligibility requirements, such as calculation window, thresholds, caps, and maintenance requirements. Progress or bonus from different rewards sessions can't be combined or directly compared.
When does the offer start and end?
Refer to the Offer Start and Offer End shown in the Session Details section on the offer landing page.
Which deposits count toward Deposit Bonus?
Which deposit methods are eligible?
External on-chain deposits and fiat deposit methods supported in your region are generally eligible. Internal transfers are generally not considered eligible deposits, and external deposits made to a sub-accounts are also not counted. Please take note that the supported eligible methods may vary by region and offer, please refer to the relevant offer landing page for details.
Will a transfer from another OKX account or an internal address be counted?
Generally, no. Transfers from internal addresses or movements of funds within the OKX platform don't constitute eligible deposits.
Please take note that the supported eligible methods may vary by region and offer. Please refer to the relevant offer landing page for details.
If I use my existing account balance to buy BTC, ETH, or stablecoins, will it count as a deposit?
No. Buying crypto with an existing account balance is considered as a trade and not a deposit. It therefore can't be treated as eligible deposit. Only newly received funds that meet the offer rules may increase Eligible Deposit.
Is a deposit counted based on its initiation time or settlement time?
A deposit is counted based on the time the funds are successfully credited, not the initiation time. Even if an order is initiated before the offer ends, it won't be included in the bonus calculation if it's credited after the Offer End. Allow sufficient time for your deposit to be credited before the offer ends, as delays caused by banks, blockchains, or other channels may prevent the deposit from being included in the rewards calculation.
Note: if your deposit was delayed due to regulatory requirements, provide the relevant deposit order number and supporting information so Customer Support can review.
Will a deposit in Pending, Failed, Rejected, or Reversed status be counted?
No. Only orders that have reached the successful status applicable to the relevant deposit method may be counted. Pending orders must wait for channel processing. For Failed, Rejected, or Reversed orders, use the deposit support process to confirm the reason for the failure or return.
Must the minimum threshold be reached with a single deposit?
Generally, the threshold is determined based on cumulative Eligible Deposit during the calculation window, so it doesn't necessarily need to be reached with one deposit. The cumulative amount will still be reduced by withdrawals or transfers and is subject to the eligible methods, settlement times, minimum threshold, and cap. The final result is subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant offer .
I initiated a deposit before the Offer End, but it was credited after the offer ended. Will it count?
No. A deposit is counted based on the time the funds are successfully credited, not the initiation time. Even if an order is initiated before the offer ends, it won't be included in the rewards calculation if it's credited after the Offer End. Please allow sufficient time for your deposit to be credited before the relevant offer ends. If your deposit was delayed due to the applicable Travel Rule requirements, kindly provide the relevant deposit order number and supporting information, so Customer Support can investigate.
How are deposits in different currencies converted?
The system converts deposits into the valuation currency specified for the offer. Historical offer valuations may differ from current market prices or the current market value of your assets.
For EEA offers starting from 1 August 2026, deposits are converted into EUR using the asset price when the deposit is credited, while withdrawals are converted using the asset price when the withdrawal is initiated. The resulting amount is recorded as your net deposit in EUR. Your reward is calculated as the EUR-denominated Eligible Deposit multiplied by the Bonus Rate, producing an EUR payout value. Each payout is then converted using the prevailing EUR–USDC exchange rate and distributed in USDC.
For EEA offers before 1 August 2026, deposits are converted into USD using the asset price when the deposit is credited, while withdrawals are converted using the asset price when the withdrawal is initiated. The resulting amount is recorded as net deposit in USD. The reward is calculated as the USD-denominated Eligible Deposit multiplied by the Bonus Rate, producing a USDC payout value. No further currency conversion is applied to each payout, so the reward is not affected by fluctuations between the local currency and USD.
Note: the conversion rate of 1 EUR = 1.12 USD is used only to display an estimated EUR value for reference only. It's not used to calculate net deposits or distribute payouts.
How is net deposit calculated in Deposit Bonus?
What is Eligible Deposit?
Subject to the applicable terms and conditions, Eligible Deposit is the amount obtained by taking eligible fund inflows that were successfully credited during the current rewards session's calculation window, subtracting eligible fund outflows counted during the same period.
Examples for illustration purpose only: the offer offers an 8% bonus for Eligible Deposits between 10 and 10,000 EUR.
User A has 100 EUR in eligible deposits and 95 EUR in eligible withdrawals during the offer window. The Eligible Deposit is therefore 5 EUR, which is below the minimum threshold of 10 EUR, so User A won't be eligible for a reward payout after the offer ends.
User B has 12,000 EUR in eligible deposits and 1,000 EUR in eligible withdrawals during the offer window. The Eligible Deposit is therefore 11,000 EUR. However, User B's rewards will be calculated based on the upper threshold limit of 10,000 EUR, and the 1,000 EUR above the cap won't earn an additional bonus. User B's estimated total reward is 800 EUR, distributed through multiple payouts.
Why is my Eligible Deposit 0?
Common reasons include but not limited to:
No eligible deposit was successfully credited during the calculation window, such as when a deposit was credited before the offer started
The deposit method or source of funds wasn't eligible
The deposit was offset by a withdrawal or transfer, reducing the total to 0
The amount was below the minimum threshold set out in the relevant offer
If none of the above applies to your situation, contact Customer Support and provide information about the deposit you believe wasn't counted.
Why is my net deposit negative?
This usually means the withdrawals or transfers counted during the offer period exceeded the Eligible Deposits. Check whether your deposits included ineligible deposits, such as direct transfers to a sub-account or internal transfers, and whether any withdrawal activity caused your withdrawals and transfers to exceed your eligible deposits.
Why is my Eligible Deposit lower than my actual deposits?
Your total deposits don't necessarily equal to your Eligible Deposit. Differences may result from orders outside the offer period, deposits that weren't successfully credited, internal transfers, unsupported methods, withdrawal offsets, the minimum threshold, the cap, or currency valuation differences. If none of the above applies to your situation, contact Customer Support and provide information about the deposit you believe wasn't counted.
Why is my account balance high but my Eligible Deposit low?
Your account balance or AUM includes assets held before the offer period, trading profits and losses, and other funds. These are not considered as Eligible Deposit for the offer. Deposit Bonus only counts eligible net inflows within the rules of the relevant rewards session.
Why do my two Deposit Bonus pages show different amounts?
Rewards for each rewards session is calculated separately. Differences in calculation windows, Opt-in status, eligible deposit methods, thresholds, caps, and maintenance periods may cause different amounts to appear on the two offer landing pages.
Can I use or withdraw funds during Deposit Bonus?
Can I withdraw my principal or rewards after joining the offer?
You may withdraw your principal or rewards, but withdrawals or transfers counted under the offer rules may reduce your Eligible Deposit or Payout Eligibility. Before withdrawing, check the Eligible Deposit requirement and Payout time on the offer landing page. This helps prevent your withdrawal or transfer from reducing your current net deposit below your Eligible Deposit and causing you missing out a reward payout.
If I withdraw only a small amount, will I lose the entire reward or will it be reduced proportionally?
Each payout is all or nothing. If a withdrawal causes your current net deposit to fall below your Eligible Deposit, you may lose the entire next payout. If you don't top up the shortfall before the next payout time, a missed payout can't be reissued or restored.
If I didn't meet the minimum threshold before the offer ended, can I deposit again after it ends to restore my eligibility?
No. Deposits credited after the offer ends won't be counted and you did not meet the minimum threshold eligible for rewards.
A deposit made before the offer wasn't counted. Now that the offer has started, can I withdraw first and deposit again after opting in?
Once the offer starts, your deposit and withdrawal activities have already begun to be calculated. Selecting Opt in only indicates that you agree to participate in the offer; it doesn't mean that calculation starts at that moment. Therefore, there is a chance that your withdrawal may first reduce your net deposit, and depositing the funds again may only restore it to 0.
Can I use deposited assets for spot trading or Convert?
Yes. Spot trading or Convert using assets already deposited into your OKX balance is treated as trading activity. It's neither a new deposit nor a withdrawal and doesn't affect the Eligible Deposit or bonus for the Deposit Bonus offer.
Can I place deposited assets into Earn?
Moving assets into Earn within the account is generally not treated as a withdrawal. If you believe that funds placed in Earn caused a reduction in your net deposit, you may provide the relevant information and request a review of the Eligible Deposit calculation details.
Will transferring funds to OKX Pay, a DEX Wallet, or another internal account affect my rewards?
It may. Transfers to OKX Pay or a DEX Wallet, and transfers to another user's account, are treated as withdrawals. Transfers from your own main account to your sub-account aren't treated as withdrawals. If the amount transferred out exceeds the Eligible Deposit transferred in and causes your current net deposit to fall below the required Eligible Deposit, you'll need to make up for the shortfall to avoid affecting your next payout. Visit the details page of your specific Deposit Bonus offer for the most accurate information.
Are Deposit Bonus funds locked by the system?
No. The funds themselves aren't locked or restricted, and it doesn't prevent you from transferring funds out. However, if a withdrawal reduces your Eligible Deposit during the offer's payout period, it may affect or cancel your next payout. You may check the Payout Details page for the specific offer to determine how much can be withdrawn without affecting the reward and whether the payout status is normal.
How are Deposit Bonus rewards calculated?
How is the Deposit Bonus reward calculated?
Your total reward is calculated as the Eligible Deposit at the end of the offer multiplied by the Bonus Rate applicable to you. It's then distributed in different payout periods according to the Payout schedule specified in the relevant offer rules. Eligible Deposit is subject to the minimum threshold and cap. You can view your Eligible Deposit and Bonus Rate on the offer's Payout Details page.
Why wasn't my reward calculated based on all of my deposits?
The reward base is the Final Eligible Deposit, not all deposits or your total assets. Deposits outside the offer period, deposits that weren't credited or were credited late, internal transfers, and deposits made through other ineligible transfer methods aren't counted. Withdrawal amounts are also deducted, and any amount above the cap doesn't generate additional rewards.
What are the bonus rate, minimum deposit, and maximum reward?
These parameters vary by rewards sessions. Refer to the offer page for the sessions you joined.
If I keep depositing after reaching the threshold, will my reward increase?
The more new and eligible deposits that are successfully credited during the offer period, the higher your estimated reward may be, up to the minimum threshold and cap for the relevant rewards session. New deposits made after the offer ends will not increase your reward. You must also meet the eligibility requirement set out in the offer landing page to receive each payout rewards.
When are Deposit Bonus rewards distributed?
When will the reward be distributed?
Please refer to the schedule on the Payout Details page for the specific offer. The end of the offer doesn't necessarily mean that rewards are distributed immediately. The system may still need to finalize the Eligible Deposit, verify fund maintenance requirements, and complete the eligibility review.
The offer has ended. Why haven't I received my reward?
Possible reasons include: you didn't complete Opt-in during the offer; your Eligible Deposit was 0 (since the net deposit didn't meet the minimum eligible threshold during the offer period); you didn't maintain the required amount or didn't pass the eligibility review at the time of payout; or the payout time hasn't arrived yet.
The page shows Payout Completed, but I can't find the reward. What should I do?
Open Menu and go to the Deposit Bonus page. Open the details page for the specific offer and select the relevant reward. You'll be redirected to the My Rewards page, where you can view the reward distribution details.
What should I do if my Deposit Bonus progress appears incorrect?
Why is there a delay in updating my offer progress after a successful deposit?
Depending on the deposit method, there may be different processing delays between initiation and final crediting. If you've confirmed that the deposit was successfully credited on the Portfolio page, the method is eligible, and the deposit was credited within the offer calculation window, you may provide the relevant Transaction ID to Customer Service for investigation.
What should I do if the progress is still 0 after the normal update period?
If you've confirmed that the Opt-in is valid (you should receive email or notification upon successful Opt-in), the order was successfully credited, the crediting time was within the offer window, and the method and source were eligible, but the page still hasn't updated, you may provide the relevant Transaction ID to Customer Service for investigation.
Where can I view the offer progress and Eligible Deposit?
In the OKX app or on the web, open Menu and go to the offer landing page. There, you can view the offer progress, Offer Payout Details, or Eligible Deposit Amount. You must open the specific offer landing page rather than checking only your account's total assets.
What should I do if a deposit wasn't counted?
If you've confirmed that the Opt-in is valid (you should receive email or notification upon successful Opt-in), the order was successfully credited, the crediting time was within the offer window, and the method and source were eligible, but the page still hasn't updated or the offer has already ended, you may provide the relevant Transaction ID to Customer Service for investigation.
Why am I not eligible for a Deposit Bonus reward?
Why does a past offer show that I didn't meet the offer requirements?
You may not have completed Opt-in during the offer, or your deposits during the offer may have been below the minimum threshold. If you disagree with the result, you may provide the Transaction ID of the deposit you believe is missing to Customer Service for investigation.
Why wasn't my reward distributed?
Possible reasons include: you didn't complete Opt-in during the offer; your net deposit didn't meet the minimum eligible threshold during the offer; you didn't maintain the required amount during the payout period; you didn't pass the eligibility review at the time of payout; or the first Payout time hasn't arrived yet.
What else should I know about Deposit Bonus?
Do I need to pay tax on Deposit Bonus rewards?
Tax obligations depend on your country or region and your personal circumstances. OKX Customer Support can't provide personal tax advice. Consult a qualified local tax professional and refer to the transaction or reward records available in your account.
Is Deposit Bonus the same as Earn, and are returns guaranteed?
No. Deposit Bonus is a conditional promotional reward and should not be understood as interest on your deposit, an OKX Earn product, or a guaranteed return. Eligibility and payment are subject to the applicable Deposit Batch terms and conditions, including any deposit-maintenance and withdrawal requirements. Promotional rewards may be reduced, suspended, or forfeited if those conditions are not met. Please review OKX's official disclosures regarding asset security, Proof of Reserves, and digital-asset and platform risks.
