How do I make a deposit? (app)
What is a crypto deposit?
Depositing crypto means transferring crypto you already own from another exchange, platform, or wallet into your OKX account. When making a crypto deposit, all cryptos require a deposit address. When depositing, make sure that the crypto name and the network used for deposits and withdrawals are exactly the same.
Can I make a deposit?
Only accounts that have completed identity verification can make deposits.
If your account is frozen or restricted, your deposit function may be limited. You may refer to the message displayed on your page.
How do I deposit crypto?
1. Open the deposit page
There are two ways to get there:
From the homepage — open your OKX app and select Deposit
From Assets — open your OKX app, go to Portfolio, and select Deposit
2. Get the deposit details
Select the crypto that you want to deposit, then select the Deposit network
Deposit details will then automatically generate
In the Deposit account section, select whether to deposit funds into your Funding or Trading account
If the page shows a tag/memo/comment field, you’ll need to copy it along with the address
3. Send the funds from the other platform
Choose either method:
Copy the deposit address — copy the deposit address provided by OKX and paste it into the withdrawal address field on the other platform or wallet to complete the deposit
Scan the deposit QR code — use the QR code scanning feature on the other platform or wallet to scan the deposit address QR code displayed on OKX to complete the deposit
Note:
Make sure selected crypto and network on both OKX and your withdrawal platform are the same to ensure a successful deposit. Otherwise, you'll lose your assets.
You can find the minimum amount, required confirmation numbers, and contract address on the Deposit page.
You won't receive your assets if you deposited the crypto amount less than the minimum amount.
Some crypto (for example, XRP) generates a tag/memo, usually a string of numbers. You need to enter the deposit address and tag/memo when depositing. Otherwise, you'll lose your assets. Select here to learn more about how to deposit crypto with a tag/memo.
